The information below is a brief outling of how to get to Phi Phi from Bangkok.
Airlines:
We suggest that you take a flight with Air Asia they fly to Krabi and Phuket, the average cost is approximatley 1'800 baht one way, however
Bangkok Air also have flights to Phuket but seem to be a bit more expensive. Other airlines include Thai Air they too fly to Phuket and Krabi (their online booking can be very slow) . If you need more info have a look at DomesticFlightsThailand.com
Their site lists all domestic flight schedules in Thailand, includes destination guides, airport guides and current booking detail
Airports:
There are two main airports one is Don Muang and the new one is Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport which we suggest you use, as it has more options open to you the traveler.
Hotels Bangkok:
If you need to stay over in Bangkok before traveling down to
Phi Phi
then we suggest you look at the "Silom Road" or the
"Sukhumvit Soi 11" area.
These are two excellent hotels we think you will like.
First is The Ambassador Hotel and second is the Trinity Silom Hotel both are great central location, great value, and close to the main airport.
Prices are around the 1'200+ baht a night, both hotels always have offers on!
Transfers: from 800 baht
You're going to need a taxi to the airport, thats if your flying down, be careful what you pay! Phi Phi Barakuda can provide a taxi for you, the guy we use always picks our instructors up from the airport when they have been back home or taken a break, not one of our customers has ever had a problem, our guy in Bangkok is spot on! always there and always on time..... he likes to practice his english too, loves telling jokes, best thing to do is smile as most of them are not funny ! but he tries.
Email or call to book.
Krabi Taxi: from 500 baht
If you fly in to Krabi you will walk outside the terminal to face all the taxi touts! they will charge you anything they can, its best to book your taxi through us. We use a reliable guy here too, he wil pick you up from the airport and take you to the main ferry port, if you use a taxi tout and tell him ferry port he will take you to one of his friends travel shops in the middle of town! as he gets commission! and you will be waiting for ages!
Phuket taxi: from 600 baht
If you fly in to Phuket then we would advise you to use our Phuket taxi guy, the airport is at the top of the island and the ferry port is at the bottom!
Email or call to book
Taxi foot note:
Our taxi guys are reliable, why? because we keep them busy with customers, they never lets us down.
We do not take commission from these guys we just ask them to be relaible and provide a top class service, which they do !
Email or call to book,
Taxi fairs have to be paid by you at end of journey.
