Arriving at the Similan IslandsSimilan Diving Safaris and their Dive Team welcome you aboard, M/V Dolphin Queen.
We do a 4 days & 4 nights Dive Safari (11 day dives, 3 night dives, each group 4 divers to 1 dive guide), this means a nice relaxed dive in a small group and you will do all the major dive sites the Similan & Surin Marine National Park Islands have to offer and more.

After the Similan Islands, we head north to an island famous for Manta Rays, Koh Bon. Then we head north west to one of the best dive sites Thailand has to offer, Koh Tachai. After a fantastic dive at Tachai onto the Surin Islands then, the famous Richelieu Rock.

Here is the typical Schedule with Similan Diving Safaris on M/V Dolphin Queen:

Departure from Similan Diving Safaris Divecenter in Khaolak to the pier is 18.00 Hrs. On arrival aboard M/V Dolphin Queen you will meet our staff and be shown to your cabin, after you will receive a full boat brief to familiarize you with the running of the boat and the rules and the safety procedures aboard M/V Dolphin Queen. Before dinner is also a good time to assemble your equipment with your guide ready for your first dive in the morning. After dinner aboard M/V Dolphin Queen, we depart at around 20,00Hrs, arrival midnight. Traveling by night is the best so you can sleep and wake up in the Similan Islands.

Similan Diving Safaris, On the Beach1st Day, wake up call @ 06.30 am. You receive a light breakfast, fresh coffee & some toast and fresh fruits. For after your dive you can order, boiled eggs, fried eggs, omelet, pancakes, French toast, sausages, ham. We also serve German brown bread, muslie, corn flakes, oats, and lots of fresh fruits always on the table: water melon, banana’s, pineapples, oranges. Electrolyte drinks are free for you to drink at any time during the safari this helps to prevent dehydration. You will receive a Dive site and Safety briefing before every dive. All dives are Multi level dives. All divers must dive with a buddy. All of our dive guides have computers and are fully experienced with these dive sites. Minimum 1,000, Dives each in the Similans this means if you have any special requests eg, Sea Horse, Ghost pipe fish, Nudibranches. this is the team who can find then for you .All major European languages and Swedish are spoken by our guides.

1st dive 07.30 am, The first dive is what we call a check dive, we can check how is the air consumption of the divers and put them in the groups of the same air consumption if they wish. Dive time is 50 min and we do a 5 min safety stop. With most of the dives you are picked up by the boat this makes easy stress free diving.
After breakfast you have 3hrs in-between dives. You can go to the beach with our 40hp dinghy, and take a walk on deserted beaches, snorkel on the reefs, cool off in your A/C cabin or just relax on the boat with the new friends you made on this fantastic adventure.

Similan Diving Safaris, Dive briefing.2nd Dive 11.30 am. After your second dive lunch time is at 13,00,hrs After lunch you can visit the islands or just relax aboard M/V Dolphin Queen, also you can always snorkel around the boat as the boat is moored near the islands.

3rd Dive 15.30 hrs, Snacks fruits & Drinks till your night dive. Snorkeling, swimming, or visit the beach. We have a kayak for your enjoyment in-between dives.

4th Dive 18.45 hrs, The night dive starts so you can see the dive site after 15 mins its dark. Groups can dive later on request.
08.00 pm Dinner, relax, talking and reflecting on the days beautiful creations we have seen together. We have lots of fish books aboard for you to know what you have seen today. We have Videographer aboard you may want to see your video on our DVD player or watch a movie. To relax your body and mind after diving, traditional Thai massage is available aboard.

Similan Diving Safaris, Guide.We do 3 days diving and on the 4th day we do 2 dives in the morning then head back to khaolak, arrival at the pier is around 14,00hrs in the afternoon this gives you time for onward travel.

What to bring with you aboard M/V Dolphin Queen for your Safari:

For your convenience you should bring only a small bag you wont need much clothing on your Safari, you may leave any excess baggage or valuables at our dive center or you hotel. Here is a list of what you should bring:
A Towel, Some clothing to keep you warm during the evenings , Shorts, T-shirts, Sun glasses a Hat and sun cream for the day time as the temperature can be around 30c to 35c during the day. Don't forget your Bathroom kit and a little money for beer and drinks. Beer is only served after your last dive. Please bring your Dive card. If you are a PADI dive and don't have your card for some reason we can check with PADI on line in minutes. We have log books for sale and digital cameras and dive computers for rent aboard M/V Dolphin Queen. We have a full Medic First Aid kit onboard so you don't need worry about sea sickness, upset stomach plasters, and other minor aliments.
